Accessible and Empowering

When I recommend books for users of Microsoft Dynamics CRM I alway have this on the syllabus. Many of us enjoy walkthroughs and examples which helps us come up to speed with a tool platform that will ultimately save us work. If helping your customers succeed is important to your business, start here.

Great book for Dynamics CRM newbie

This is the first book I read about Dynamics CRM. I started using it in a test environment before getting this book and it was quite self-explanatory in many cases. But some things weren't as obvious and this book gave good insight into the inner workings of the system. Also customizations, sotfware development etc are covered. The only thing that's not great is the fact that this book is probably not enough for the MCP tests. But that's not the point of the book anyway. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to work with Dynamics CRM, be they engineers or technical end-users.

Very thorough as reference matter...

This is a very solid book in regards to explaining and showing how to work with the application from a technical standpoint. I think of it as a good handbook for the IT user or power user that wants to know how to setup or administer MS/Dynamics CRM 4.0. I was hoping for more of the business side but the authors state up front that this book is not built around what to do with Microsoft CRM. It's not a book about strategy and how to build your business using Microsoft CRM - rather, it is squarely intended for a technical user that is concerned with setting up and administering the application. For this purpose it is a valuable book to have on your shelf as a constant source of pragmatic expertise.

An excellent book that fills the documentation gap

I've been looking for a thorough book addressing the technical details of Microsoft CRM for quite some time. There has been an enormous vacuum for those of us left out in the cold, wanting to implement Microsoft CRM for our business but unable to leverage the product simply out of a sheer lack of insightful documentation. This book fills that vacuum nicely. For those wanting to learn how to leverage Microsoft CRM in your business, this is your book.
