Dare to Dream

Wondrous Journey is an inspiration to those who love to travel, want to travel, or love to dream. I found Dean's adventures to be humorous and tremendously spiritual. His interaction with the locals, their children, and fellow travelers is quite heartfelt and leaves you smiling. What a marvelous ambassador he is for the American people. This book is not only a journey to far away places, but also a journey to the soul. A journey to that place inside yourself where dreams are made. The photographs are breathtaking and a fabulous bonus. Whether you are a seasoned or novice traveler, this book is a must read!

Calling all travel buffs!

It's a sad fact that most Americans don't travel much overseas, but in an increasingly global 'village', there is a growing interest in what's out there. And Dean Jacobs knows: he's been there! Whether it be the Australian outback, the Himalayan mountains or Denmark, Jacobs tells us his story, and in a wonderfully informal, personal way. He is, indeed, a storyteller. Reading Wondrous Journey gave me the opportunity to travel the world with an interesting, deeply thoughtful, yet refreshingly funny companion. As an autobiographer, Dean allows his readers to share in the emotional and spiritual aspects of his journey without requiring them to be trapped inside his skin. Rather than being a boring recitation of his own experiences, Dean's insights and revelations become a catalyst for the reader's personal growth. As a travel writer, Dean brought to vibrant life the areas he visited, always perceived through his unique point of view. He succeeds in inspiring in his readers a deep desire to strike out and tailor their own explorations, rather than to try and recreate his. The photos are outstanding...breathtaking...heart stirring.

It has been wonderful to finally receive Dean's book after viewing all his travel diary as his journey progressed around the world. Especially nice was to be able to read the comments about Tasmania at the start of Dean's journey and know that we helped him enjoy himself and continue his wonderful and enlightening experience through many cultures.
