Beginner Metalsmithing

This is a great book for beginner metalsmiths who don't want to make a huge financial investment to get started. Terminology and techniques are explained in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. Tools and supplies are discussed and shown, with a list of resources provided. Charts and templates are included. There are numerous projects throughout the book with close-up photographs, plus a materials list, tools and finished size accompanying the step-by-step directions on how to make each one. The color photos show projects made using basic techniques that look much more involved than they really are. This is a beautiful book and great reference to teach and inspire.
