Mystery

This was a very heartful story, in that it will take you to a small village in Poland, that had completely lost its mind..in regard to what they did to over 800 Men, Women, Young and old, Children, babies, born and unborn no matter who they were... If they were Jewish .. they were going to die. The Jewish people they had killed..lived side by side with them, many owned businesses and gave the farmers credit, when they had no money, for bread, and meat and milk, So they could feed their families...yet they took them ..rounded them up in a barn... put it on fire, and stood watch, as it burned, and smoked, and the people Inside, were screaming for their lives, banging on walls, pleading for help ...and they all did nothing at all...some even cheered. Over 50 yrs goes by, and Doctors and Forensic teams from around the world are called in, to help with the mass grave of the Jewish people killed in this village, to set the record straight once and for all, about what actually happend during these terrible war crimes. Halina comes from Australia, and plans to help with her superior knowledge in Dental Forensic identification. While she is here, she begins to hear stories from the much older residents, about what actually happened. While hearing these stories, she realizes that her memory is jogged by certain things... she is starting to remember, ...as she was Born and raised here, but then came to Australia when she was 5 yrs old. It takes her on an in depth journey, about her true identity..what her Real Name actually is, and why the women she called mama all her life...is not who she thinks !! There is Soooo Much more Halina finds out, that your heart breaks for her !! It truly is a wonderful, almost mystery, love story, about confronting her pass, with losses, and sacrifice. It Also opens your eyes to the pure evil hatred that spreads like a fast moving disease...almost over night, in how they acted, and how they hated, and how they wanted nothing more than to be rid of the Jews ! So horrifyingly sad..how humans can turn like bloodlust animals. But also shows some humane valar in some villagers , who tried to hide protect the Jews .It makes you realize that what went on in this village defies all understanding. The saddest part...It REALLY DID HAPPEN IN A LITTLE VILLAGE IN POLAND! Excellent story, great writing and character portrayal, fascinating facts.
