As a book to introduce someone to windsurfing, this is an excellent choice. Winner introduces the sport in a comfortable, easy style, and takes the learner through the basics of the sport in a most helpful fashion. All aspects of the sport are covered very well. It is hard to reduce such a dynamic sport to mere words and pictures, but this book succeeds in conveying the spirit of the sport to the learner. A note of warning for experienced sailors: this is not a book for intermediate level or above windsurfers, but it will make an excellent reference should you wish to help a friend learn to windsurf.
