Windhill Farms is a true story of the struggles of a family in the 1940s and is brought to life by the entries in a personal journal. Experience their lives as they travel from New York to rural Pennsylvania, buying and fixing up an old dilapidated farmhouse. During the wartime years, the family moved to Chicago, where Van was offered a job with The Chicago Sun drawing maps of where the German troops were fighting in Europe. Years later, a new job in New York City was offered with an advertising agency and the family settled in their new home in Rye, New York. They continued yearly trips to Windhill Farms, but life is full of change and conflict with mother and daughter as this story continues.
