I like it but it's not the most well written book to take action with.

I've also read The Willpower Instinct and On Desire. Both of these books are far more actionable then this one. I read this one because it's used as base material for The Willpower Instinct.
It kinda meanders a bit here and there and you're trying to understand how you can apply this to your everyday life. The best parts come from understanding the limits and recognizing what yours are.
I take marginalia and pull things out of books into my own notebooks and didn't actually end up pulling that much out compared to the other books.
