Great Introduction to Kakuro Puzzles!

After becoming fairly proficient with solving Suduko puzzles, I purchased this book to improve my skills in solving the number puzzles called "Kakuro" puzzles. This type of number puzzle has been around for quite some time, and I've seen them in puzzle magazines in the past where they have been called "Cross-Sums". In this type of puzzle, a clue is given which is the sum of all the numbers in the row or column next to the number, and the puzzler has to fill in the appropriate digits. Like a Suduko puzzle, the digits in each answer are unique, meaning there are no repeating digits. In my opinion, these puzzles are quite a bit more difficult than Sudoku puzzles and present a fun new challenge. This particular collection of puzzles is aimed at someone who doesn't have much experience solving Kakuro puzzles (like me!) The book contains 100 puzzles, with the beginning ones having several digits filled in, which is a huge help. The last 20 or so puzzles in this edition do not have any starting numbers filled in, so they get more challenging. One of the important features to me in a puzzle book is the quality of the paper used in the book. This one is good quality paper, so it seems to be withstanding the inevitable erasures which come with solving puzzles. If you want to become proficient at solving Kakuro puzzles, this book will get you off to a great start!
