Reluctant Hero

I read mostly Harlequin Romances, but I do have a few Harlequin Presents. I like the old books best. Though I am not an expert I like what I like and I do like a predictable book. To me there is nothing like reading a good book that ends bad, or watching a good movie that ends bad. I like to know when the book ends the people I am reading about overcome their problems and come together in love. Juliet was infatuated with Perry, but Perry was a cad. Damon fell in love with Juliet and he would do anything for her...anything to make her happy. From the back of the book: 'If only she could turn back the clock! Juliet Stone was an acclaimed actress and a very happy bride-to-be. But disaster struck when a strange illness ruined her career and caused her fiance to desert her. Lonely and desperate, Juliet accepted Dr. Damon Master's proposal of marriage. It would enable him to take an important job in the Middle East, and at least it would keep her busy. She had no feelings for Damon-or so she thought until Monique Lamont, beautiful and brilliant, came back into his life. And by then it was too late...'
