An Excellent Beginner's Guide

Why Die? A Beginner's Guide to Living Forever is a very concise book on the subject of immortalism, which isn't quite the same as physical immortality, but it is sufficient nonetheless. I was drawn to this book because of its title, but I was a little let down with the little knowledge I gained from the read. Not to knock the book, because it truly is a beginner's guide; however, I do not think that a seeker of immortality would derive much from this book other than the modest opinions of Bowie himself. It's a good, quick read which introduces the reader to the subjects of rebirthing and immortalism, but other than that, it feels a little incomplete. I recommend it to anyone who knows nothing about these subjects. Also recommended: You Can't Catch a Cold by Dan Hall.

good stuff

I read it, and I sure as hell haven't died yet!

Old beliefs 'die' hard

Mentioning the word 'death' or 'dying' to most people makesthem uncomfortable. And yet our society is built around dying. Weglorify death through insurance policies, cemetery plot investments, pension plans, social security, disease, ignorance. WHY DIE presentssome profound ideas about the possibility of switching attitudes fromone of focusing on dying to one of focusing on LIVING. It presentspossibilities in living heathlier, wealthier, more fulfilling life byeliminating death programs from our speech and actions. This is aMUST READ for anyone tired of the civilization as it is now and opento hearing another view from a more positive side. - PT, The EnergyCenter...

i agree, i guess

Ok, refute most of known history.....that's ok, because mortality is negative. If you drop the negatives, you will have more room to develop positives. People are "too busy" to study this area. (Maybe they become interested when it's too late?) Jesus very wisely said: Seek it now, not later....
