Why Choose to be a Librarian as your Future Career?

It all started when I pursue for the third time my Master in Library and Information Science (MLIS) in Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila because I am obliged to finish my unfinished MLIS 9 units in 2002. I did not finish my MLIS when I started in 2002 because of different reasons such as unstable of finances, too many activities in my institution before as well as my other activities outside the school. I've been engaged in theater arts, television and commercial acting. I also continue my first passion in writing literary work of arts from different genres. So, I did not finish my MLIS while my other classmates continue to prosper their MLIS studies. I built my own family since 2004 and continue tried to surpass all the hindrance today with my wife and two sons especially in terms of budgeting. I think I am complete even though I didn't finish my MLIS before. I enrolled again after more than ten years (2013), since, my academic residency in PUP was already lapsed the units that I took in 2002 was no longer valid. I finished one semester for 9 units in 2013, but due to financial difficulties, I stopped again. And now, I already finished my academic subjects for Master in Library and Information Science in the same institution I started, however, the thesis, I haven't done it due to financial issue again. Even if, financial issue is my main concern why I didn't finished my Master's Degree as well as currently I am not a Librarian anymore due to I am now engage in a Business Processing Outsourcing, but still my heart of being a Librarian is still here. I have an active license of being a Librarian and looking forward in the next few months, I will be going back to the profession that I started to love--Librarianship.In view of this, it is my pleasure to invite all non-librarians to take Librarianship career to become the future librarian.
