Hillariously funny view of the Millenium Bug!!

Messrs Kendall and Arbogast approach to the Y2K issue is right on the money. The pictures and ancedotal commentary are hillarious. A great gift for those who are stocking up food and water for their New Years Eve party!!!

what a great idea!!!

if you ever saw "separated at birth," and liked it, you'll like this. Each page has two pictures: one side is of something from everyday pre-Y2K life, like a copier. The other side is another picture depicting WHY everything will be cool in 2K...like a monk making copies on a stone tablet. Some pics are real baaaaad humor. But that's helps make this one work. A great respite from all the frothing over Y2K!

I agree with Former FCC chair's quote: "January 1 is a Saturday. So if the world comes to an end for a couple of days, it'll be OK. We've all had weekends like that."

This is Hilarious!!!!!

I never understood why the whole y2k thing was such a big deal. In the first section of the book, the author tells of how the y2k bug came to be. It's a good couple of pages for computer buffs and computer users (i.e. I could understand what the problem is!!!!)BUT the big hit (for me) was the doomsday predictions from y1k and y0k. And plenty of doomsday predictions for the end of the world as we know it. Too funny to see what people have predicted in the past!!!Also, there's a chart with the fifteen or so calendars in use around the world today and what, for each calendar, JAN 1, 2000 will be. I never realized there were so many calendars in use around the world. We should pick another calendar and avoid the whole y2K thing. The largest portion of the book is a photo gallery that makes you aware of all kinds of stuff from office, to home, to everyday life....things that may be y2k problematic. Like vacuum cleaners, food processors, cars, etc. I never imagined how many things may be y2k problematic. I bought two copies for my brothers for the holidays. I recommend it.

The book Info Tech Geeks Fear!

At last, someone's taken the time to laugh at all the hullabaloo of Y2K. For everyone who's tired of hearing dire predictions on the Sunday morning talk shows about Social Security not working, the FAA's flight monitoring going down, and general chaos abounding, here's a book that concentrates on the lighter side of Y2K.Using both words and hilarously paired photographs, Messers Kendall, Kendall and Arbogast show us how the world is today, and how it might be if January 1, 2000 turned out to be as bad as everyone is predicting... and ask whether people were quite so worried in the year 999.A great book to give as a gift to anyone who has concerns about Y2K, wonders about Y2K, or laughs at people who worry about Y2K.
