Very silly and cute

I don't love the illustrations in this book (or the other one), but I'm sure that's just personal preference. My kids LOVE his books. They are very silly, preposterous even. But then, who can resist Santa on a surf board?

Beautiful Book at a Wonderful Price

I am VERY pleased with this book. It is a beautiful hardcover book with bright, crisp color printing and a simple story. There is about one sentence per page, so it's a good choice for toddlers on up. My 6-year old sat and read it cover to cover immediately. Jerry Pallotta is a terrific writer and makes the most of this short tale. The story line is about Santa looking for helpers. He tries dragons (the toys get cooked), fairies (they leave glitter everywhere), Bigfoot (only one toe fits through the door), mummies (only good at wrapping), leprechauns (too busy chasing rainbows), gnomes (too fond of vegetables), mermaids (toys got soaked), aliens (only made spaceships and never heard of Christmas), unicorns (with hooves they couldn't hold the tools), wizards (they turn Santa into a frog), and finally elves. David Biedrzycki's illustrations are positively luminous and bright, and there are many humorous touches. All in all this is a terrific book, especially for the money.

WE ALL LIKED THE LITTLE BOOK COOL COLORFUL INTERESTING! FAST & FUN FOR MY 5YEAR OLD TO READ TO THE 4YEAR OLD & THE 9YR. OLD & ME! IT'S MONEY WELL SPENT! SANTA'S CHOICES & THE ANIMALS TRYED REALLY DID MAKE THE BOYS LAUGH... (ME I LOVE AMAGINATION THE PICTURES ROCK)
