A Wonderful Resource for End of Life Issues

Megan has a very close and loving relationship with her Granny, who she visits every Saturday. One special Saturday, the two share a visit to place flowers on the grave of Megan's Grandad. This prompts a wonderful discussion between the two about death and what happens to a loved one when that person dies. With a lovely biblical basis, this story shares the truth that God has a special place for each of us who love Him in heaven. Megan's granny can't answer the specific questions she has about what heaven looks like or where it is, but she does assure Megan that it is a place of great joy in God's presence. She assures Megan that though she too may die one day, Megan will always have her love and the memories of their relationship. This book provides a very gentle, simple and loving way to broach discussions with little ones about the topic of death and dying. The books illustrations are an excellent companion to the language used to tell the story.
