This is a testimony of an American girl who came from poverty, both financially as well as spiritually. Read her story of how she came out of a works-based religion of "striving" to be good enough, encountered God but continued striving, and ultimately came to be a disciple of Jesus Christ because of the influence of an Indian Christian church who adopted her into their lives. Today, she is an entirely different person, with different desires and a new passion. She has let go of her striving to be adequate, and has embraced the cross of Christ - with its suffering - because he captured her heart and her life is no longer her own. She is free in Christ and desires to see others be free in Christ.
