Useful for Church Small Groups

"When Life Becomes A Maze" by David Mains is intended for church small groups, whether mainline or evangelical. Its premise is that life is chaotic, filled with stress and not knowing how to contend with some of daily struggles. So the question Mains tries to answer is how to navigate that maze. Structured as a eight week discussion, he teaches that God alone is the solution. Marketed originally as part of a "Chapel of the Air" 50-Day Spiritual Adventure, with an accompanying journal, it can stand on its own for a small group Bible study looking for renewal Essentially, it is evangelism, yet not so much for the unbeliever, but for the believer. Mains is reminder the reader of what they already know: Jesus died, rose from the dead, and offers salvation. Likewise, the Bible has answers about the basics, like how to deal with temptation (citing I Corinthians 10:13). Easy-to-read, it is appropriate for most ages, though more mature believers might prefer something deeper. Mains hits every point well, but is more of an introduction, or re-introduction to the essentials of faith, with an emphasis on trusting Christ in our daily lives.
