A Must Read for anyone experiencing cancer

This is a great book for anyone experiencing cancer themselves or that of a loved one. This book is filled with true stories, stories that one can relate to and see how another might deal with their diagnosis, treatments, and prognosis. While dealing with cancer myself, I found it comforting to know that someone else has felt the things I've felt and that it's not wrong to have those feelings. I love how Lynn binds God and scripture into each story as the ultimate antidote to our negative thoughts and feelings. I believe ANYONE could benefit from reading this book, even if you are so blessed as to not have cancer in your life or a loved one. I'm looking forward to more books from Lynn!

From the eyes of a doctor with cancer

I received a copy of this book as I was dealing with my new diagnosis of prostate cancer at age 46. I found the book to be encouraging, inspiring, and comforting. It was also realistic; not like some books that say that everyone will be ok. After all, many of my patients have died from cancer. The book was so good that I bought a case and started giving the book to my friends and patients who were struggling with cancer. This is a "must read" for anyone struggling with cancer!

Truly a blessing

I brought this book for my mother who is living with cancer and due to the print she's not able to read it herself so I told her i'd read it for her. And I must say I was truly blessed by it. Informing my mother that I really have to see if I can purchase it in a larger print for her(my reason for coming on here) because she has to read it for herself it's just one of those books that'll read as if it were written especially for you. All of my explaining won't give the total package that reading it for herself will. I was blessed to be able to relate to some of what was written as well as being reminded that Christ's death wasn't to make this a perfect world but to lead us back to perfection from this fallen society and with or without cancer many of us need to be reminded of that in order to benefit from the blessings of being a believer on this side of heaven. Lynn's ability to minister to over talking at the individiuals in her group was also both a blessing and reminder and just the outcomes of each story no matter what happened with the person regarding cancer, everyone had a common factor of how God touched and spoke directly to their lives. Definately recommend this book for cancer survivors and their loved ones.

Encouragement / Inspiration / Love / Peace

My mother (66 yrs old) was diagnosed with terminal stage IV lung cancer just 6 weeks ago. She has already endured 2 chemotherapy sessions and I was looking for any way possible to help her, and my father, to find "peace" with their future. As I walked into the bookstore, my eyes fell onto this book. After reading "When God and Cancer Meet", I know that God has led me directly to this book for a reason. My tears flowed as I eagerly read the pages, realizing that this book was exactly what my Mother needed to hear. She has not read it yet, but I have a feeling that God will bless her, and release her from worry, through this book. What an awful thing cancer is, but with God by our, there is always hope!

CANCER CAN BE A BLESSING!

I read this book shortly after being diagnosed with terminal stage IV lung cancer. As a non-smoker; active, health conscious 46 year old woman; and a Christian, I read this book hoping to feel a sense of peace from what other cancer patients had experienced. Indeed I felt the peace and so much more. The book, in addition to my strong faith, helped me to truly believe that it really doesn't matter whether you live on this earth or live in heaven. The important thing when God and cancer meet, is to make the opportunity to affect others' lives in such a way that they too can look forward to heaven. What an uplifting and precious book. I highly recommend the reading to cancer patients as well as the families of those patients.
