Immensely Enjoyable, and Seriously Challenging

I think "variety" is the word that sums up why I enjoyed this book so much. I expected it to cover such topics as the Bible and maybe famous saints like Francis of Assisi and Joan of Arc, but the quizzes in this collection are literally all over the map, covering artists, musicians, authors, politicians, all kinds of people under the broad umbrella of "Christian." Naturally there are questions about the Bible, but also about Christian holidays, worship, angels, demons, heaven and hell. Just as kind of "catchall" categories, some of the sets of questions begin with "File Under 'A'" and so forth, all the answers having nothing in common except beginning with the same letter of the alphabet. Perhaps my favorite set of questions was "Better Known As," which listed some famous Christians by their birth names and asks the reader to give their more familiar name. (For example, Giovanni Francesco Bernardone--better known as Francis of Assisi.) The author is obviously a movie buff because he included several questions about movies about Christians. (Yep, Ben-Hur is here!) Someone gave this to me as a Christmas gift, figuring I "already had everything." Well, I like this so much, I may give some as gifts myself!
