A Fantastic Book For Anyone Who Is Interested In What People Really Wore Back Then

You can know the fashion designers of a particular era, like Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Cristobal Balenciaga, etc., and the fabulous haute couture clothes that they created. And then there's what people actually wore. You know, the girls in high school, mothers, and co-workers. This book does a terrific job of showing us what those clothes were and why they were worn. It does so through providing often hilarious anecdotes of the girls who wore the crinolines, saddle shoes and circle pins of the 50's or the mini-skirts and pillbox hats of the 60's, and so on. There are also many photos of some of the more popular styles of each era discussed in the book (1950's through the 1970's). This book is great for anyone who loves fashion.
