What is the Real Marxist Tradition

By John Molyneux

"John Molyneux cuts through a century of distortion to recover Marxism's authentic, revolutionary essence. This classic work distinguishes between living theory and dead orthodoxy, showing that Marxism is not a relic of the past but a vital method for understanding and transforming the world. It is essential reading for anyone seeking to understand capitalism and how to change it. For young activists and students alike, it is a must-read as it offers a powerful weapon for today's struggles." Tafadzwa Choto, International Socialist Organisation, Zimbabwe

"Since its initial publication in 1983, this text has helped generations of radicals beat a path towards a living Marxist tradition, one rooted in the practice of class struggle and the potential for proletarian revolution. John Molyneux shows both what is needed to continue to develop that tradition and how those who have detached Marxism from its working-class mooring perverted it into a self- serving ideology. This work remains indispensable for those exploring how best to challenge the barbarism of capitalism today." Jospeh Choonara, editor International Socialism journal, Britain
