The most irritating book I have ever read.

I purchased this book looking for advice and a further insight into a blended family. I’ll start out by saying right away I understood when purchasing this book that I would be reading about a completely different situation from my own, however I was curious to see another families journey. This book wasn’t all horrible, it did provide me with many helpful tips and recommendations. It was the Arthur herself who irritated me, she was whiny and unhappy throughout her whole story she did not seem to express true love towards her adopted children, I felt as if she hated them. She did not even want to spend time with them. Some of her feelings she expressed made me cringe. She panicked over what to me seemed to be the smallest of inconvenience. My blended family includes SIX children. Yes SIX. I’ve never once experienced many of the feelings Diana felt throughout her journey. My family is definitely pureed and over flowing. Yet we love and cherish one another and love having one on one time with each child. This book is discouraging for anyone who may be considering blending a family. All you need is everything Diana seemed to lack. Love.
