Marie moved back to her home town after being gone for 20 years. Turmoil strikes as her military retiree husband is unable to deal with civilian life and there may be no saving their marriage. Her mother disappears and Marie has to clean the home to prepare for selling it.
While taking a break from cleaning she decides to explore the woods she played in as a youth. After falling into a strange willow she discovers a new reality. It's the post apocalypse and her mother's beautiful property has been destroyed.
While searching for answers Marie discovers her mother who also slipped into this time with the help of Teemura Teangi- a human with the ability to move people through time using weeping willows.
The two women are sent to the future to see the devastation caused by world war three. They fight to survive horrible experiences there and find they must do as Teemura asks; change the past to stop the future war.
The two women gather knowledge, tools and weapons for their journey to 1692 Salem. Teemura allows Marie's husband Carl to go along. With his military background he is crucial to their success.
Finally, with the help of friends and family, the trio are off to the willow to time travel. Things go wrong and the trio becomes a quintet, one of them being a horrible neighbor.
Jack Kelly, the neighbor who thinks he owns everything in the entire valley is wrong about his perceived ownership. Not only does he try to rob Mary Ann of her treasure, Marie almost dies because of his actions. During their journey from Pennsylvania to Salem in 1690, Jack does everything he can to sabotage the mission.
