Excellent Manga- Rare but Worth Finding!

It took me a while to get ahold of this one, but I'm glad I did. If you're a fan of the popular anime TV show Ginga Densetsu Weed you won't be disappointed- the manga is packed full of the same rapid adventure and incredible characters. The only thing I didn't care for was that the manga is flipped (reads left to right instead of the original right to left). But otherwise it's great- gripping plot and well-drawn. Can't wait to get my hands on the next volume! :)

Surprisingly good manga about dogs

Ginga Legend Weed has a lot in common with other shounen manga series. There is one major difference though - all the characters in Ginga Legend Weed are dogs! The main character, Weed, is a kind hearted and optimistic puppy. Although he doesn't know it at first, his father was the legendary dog hero Gin and he has inherited leadership of his dog army and his dog utopia - if he can find it! This manga has a lot of shounen series tropes. Weed, like many shounen heroes, is a kind, idealistic, good hearted boy (er, puppy) on a quest to discover himself. Although his kind heart is sometimes a disadvantage, it allows him to win over the hearts of people who might have stayed enemies. The dogs fight using special moves that they train to master. They have "fighting auras" which other dogs can feel, depending on their fighting skill. If you like shounen manga and dogs, you will adore this manga. Sadly, the original publisher let this one go out of print. The rights are now owned by DrMaster, who has chosen not to put it back into print. You can still find these comics around at Japanese book stores if you don't mind muddling through the Japanese.

One of the best graphic novels........

Ginga Legend Weed is a graphic novel about a brave puppy named Weed. Weed starts out living in the mountains (Nothern Alps) with his mother. Weed befriends cowardly but kind-hearted GB. When the pup's mother passes away, her last wish is that GB take Weed to the Ohu Mountains where they may find his legendary father Gin, boss of the Ohu Mountains. It was said that Gin defeated a bear gathering several other dogs together to attack 10 years ago, but now it only remained as a legend. GB and Weed flee from the Northern Alps to search for his long-lost father. In their long and hard adventure, the two dogs battle other fierce wild dogs and befriend unlikely mutts. This is a great and almost realistic story - the first graphic novel I've ever read about a puppy!

Ginga legend weed

This book is a great manga and it was very pleasing and interesting to read. Although it finished somewhat a cliff hanger, the drawing and artwork were 5 star rated.

great but you have too see silver fang

This serie only gets better and better....but It can't be compared with the original silver fang
