Must-read book for one who wants to get guidance from Quran

A must-read book for those who like tobuild a relationship with Quran, and read Quran in a collaborative way, or conduct study group on Quran. The book talks about the basic pre-requisites to approach Quran, participation of the inner self in understanding the message of Quran, etiquettes of reading, and living the life of Quran. It also discusses the pragmatic approach towards a collective study of Quran. Finally there is a chapter on what the prophet (SW) particularly read, followed by a suggested syllabus for Quranic study. Simply said, it is excellent.

BEYOND EXCELLENT! My heart was dead until I read, reflected, and applied this book. It helps you make your heart, mind, and soul sincere to The Almighty in preparation for reading God's Words. Your time with Qur'an then becomes a conversation with God. Anyone who desires to be closer to God can benefit from K. Murad's advice whether Muslim or non-Muslim. The Qur'an talks about believers being those who "fall down on their faces [in prostration]" and whose "eyes overflow with tears" upon recognizing the Truth and reading Qur'an. I had never experienced this level until I had prepared myself by applying this book. It has brought me closer to The Almighty in indescribable ways, leading to a greater inner peace and thereby calmer and better relations with people day to day.Here are a couple quick samples as introduction: " Nothing brings you nearer to your Lord than the moments you spend with His words. For it is only in the Qur'an that you enjoy the unique blessing of hearing His 'voice' addressing you. So let an intense desire to come nearer to Allah be your one overwheming motive while reading the Qur'an." (pg 29)" For how is your heart seized by Truth? First, you come to know the truth. Second, you recognize and accept it as the truth and as relevant to your life. Third, you remember the truth, as much and as often as you can. Fourth, you absorb it until it soaks into the deepest recesses of your inner self. The truth thus becomes an ever-alive state of consciousness, an enduring posture of the heart. I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Muslim or Non-Muslim, this book is A MUST for any truthseeker of the ONE, Eternal, Ever-Living God. It's extremely helpful to read prior to reading the word of God in the Quran, because it tells you how to prepare yourself mentally as well as physically, in other words, it is as its titles suggests, "THE WAY TO THE QURAN" If you are going to get ANY book on Islam, get this first. peace.
