Warrior Villain Shaman

By Daniell O'Neill

What if depression isn't your enemy, but a doorway?

For forty-six years, Daniel O'Neill lived inside the Energy Experience of Depression - fighting it, hiding from it, letting the world tell him what it meant. Then, on December 6, 2018, everything changed. What began as training for an Ironman triathlon and two encounters with Shamans became a fourteen-year unraveling of everything he thought he knew about mental health, identity, and himself.

Warrior Villain Shaman, Becoming is Daniel's raw, unfiltered account of walking through three archetypes that live in every human heart - the Warrior who fights, the Villain who wears the mask society hands us, and the Shaman who finally removes it. Woven through with the rebel spirit of Punk and New Wave music, ancient shamanic wisdom, and hard-won lessons from endurance sport, this book doesn't offer a tidy self-help formula. It offers a relationship - a New Wave way of meeting depression not as an illness to defeat, but as an ally waking you up to your own inherent goodness.

This is the founding story of Mental Health Mobility, a movement built on the belief that you have a divine right to define your own experience with depression - outside of stigma, outside of the status quo, and outside anyone else's map. Part memoir, part spiritual awakening, part battle cry for anyone who's ever felt broken by a system that was never built for their unique energy.

Broken crayons still color. This is Daniel's colors - and an invitation to find yours.
