They say the best place to hide something is to put it in plain sight. You read the dry description of this book without seeing the significance.
Yes, there are pictures and prices. That is what the book is for. However, the reason I bought this book was because I was coming from ground zero. What I found valuable was a description of the different glass companies overlapping with the description of the several types of glass. This shows how designers who are incestuous are removed from one glass company to another. Also, it is interesting to see which glass companies bought which collapsed companies and in which year.
It is also intriguing to find the chemical makeup of the different types of glass. This part of the book arms me with a greater base of knowledge to do my pricing. I have not found any of the pieces by buying prices for this book. I have found the companies that made the pieces that I have bought in this book. That alone is worth all the stars.
