Fascinating!!

Just as good as War Stories, volume 1. I hope Garth Ennis keeps doing these. The war stories are rough -- mostly because they seem like the real thing -- and they are fascinating.

Graphic SF Reader

Another fine collection put together by Ennis and artists. Four stories again, one about a bomber in the campaign against Germany, another about an early SAS raiding party, the third a group of men stuck in a shell hole in the Spanish Civil War, and the last about a Hurricat pilot. Crazy idea, launch planes off merchant ships by rockets, with no way for them to come back to their ship!

Garth Ennis is Brilliant

Yet another volume in what I hope will be a long set. More stories of war and the people in it. If you like the first, or simply like Ennis's style you will love this.

Almost as Good as Vol. 1

Like Vol 1., this collection holds up to repeated readings. The artwork is great, the historical detail excellent, and the writing is heartfelt. My only complaint is that the stories don't have the knockout endings of Vol 1. but then again the first volume is a pretty tough act to follow.
