Midlife can be a time of great change--inner and outer. How do we journey through this...and what can we learn in the process? Molly Remer is our personal guide to the unraveling and rediscovering our magic required in midlife. Molly Remer invites us to take a walk with the goddess Persephone, whose story of descent into the Underworld has much to teach us. This book is a journey of soul-rebuilding, of putting the pieces of oneself back together. Walking with Persephone weaves together personal insights and reflections with experiences in practical priestessing, family life, and explorations of the natural world. It advocates for opening our eyes to the wonder around us, encouraging the reader to both look within themselves for truths about living, but also to the earth, the air, the animals, and the plants we share our lives with. Part memoir, part poetry, part soul guide, Molly's evocative voice is in the great American tradition of sacred nature writing.
Spectacular! An inspiring read without being preachy

I'm only halfway through and love it. I've bought several of Molly's poetry and prayer books already. I'm not at middle-age yet, which is the audience this is geared towards, but that hasn't been a problem at all. The things she discusses can be taken for any part of life when you know you need to recharge and reset and do things differently. The flow of the narrative is excellent as we follow her through her own trials and errors. She ties in quotes of others, her own poetry/prayers, nature, family, and the stories of Persephone very well. This book is following her on her journey and giving insights and things to consider for ourselves. I highly recommend this book to anyone who knows it's time for a change but feeling stuck as how to do it. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a self-help book. More, we get to see her examples and decide what we would like to try or incorporate for ourselves. I appreciate her candor, her honesty, her willingness to share her own missteps.
