Love this book

Hello, I am a sincere student of health and nutrition. I read Vitamins and Minerals Demystified, learned the information, and passed all the quizzes and final exam. This is not a fluffy book. The book gave me a much more in-depth understanding of vital nutrients - much more than Nutrition Almanac or many other "Vitamin" books. There are charts, graphs, molecular diagram cartoons showing transport systems and the sequence of nutrient assimilation in the body. Wow! And yet, this was all outlined in an easy-to-use format so I was not daunted by the information. Thank you for the Best book on the market in the subject of Vitamins and Minerals in human nutrition.

I love it!

This book is so informative! It is sometimes very technical but also describes the processes in lay terms. It tells you how your body breaks down and uses specific vitamins. This is a great book for those who want to understand how the body works.

Just what it's supposed to be

It is just what it's explained on the cover page. Every vitamin and mineral is described from the following points of view: - how it works in the human body - why we need it - how much of it we need it - where to find it - what happens if we lack it This book is what I was looking for. I am someone who seeks health, not a professional.

Highly advisable!

I am an electro-engineer PhD, who also get involved with Bio-phenomena. For this reason I assumed that I need a short book (not a bible) in order to understand the essential points for Vitamines & minerals. This book covers all basic knowledge with a comprehensive way & very usefull tables, quiz, short but very advisable comments & above all an appendix with all basics info for all vitamines & minerals (RDA's, defficiancy, toxicity, upper level etc). Just order it without loosing time!!!

Comprehensive and Understandable

There is a lot of great information in the book that is useful for learning about vitamins and minerals. I really like the authors organic and biochemistry explanations on the vitamins and how they work in the body. The figures are helpful to see how it all works. The content is comprehensive and if I was teaching a nutrition or vitamin class, I would recommend getting the book. There is a vast amount of information that is useful in this book.
