This is the best book on VI6 you will find

I have purchased several books on Visual Interdev, but they all lack a comprehensive explanation of the product. From the Ground Up is by far the book I use most, as it covers most of the important concepts that are not obvious when first using the product. Using this book along with the on-line help should be more than enough for any developer using Visual Interdev. Also, I had a problem with on of the examples in the book and e mailed the publisher about it. The very next morning I had a reply, and they sent me documentation to further asist me with my questions. This book is fabulous.

One of the better books

This is one of the better books out there for Interdev 6.0. It does a fine job addressing some of the new features in Visual Interdev 6.0. Compare to most other crapy books on VI 6.0, I would give it a 5 star rating.

Thorough intro to a complicated product

I bought several VI books because we're using the product at my company. This is definitely the best value for the money and provides plenty of information to get you going with VI. Good book.

Great Book!

This book is a life saver. The first time I even saw Visual Interdev 6 was at a customer's site. I quickly bought the only book available at the time, the MS Programmer's guide and it was only enough to get me started. I bought this book mainly for the two chapters on Design Time Controls, but the other chapters have been helpful as well. A week later I am near completing the project, THANK YOU JOSEPH! If you have to use VID6 then this book is a must. It is well written and the chapter and paragraph titles are clearly labeled. The only drawback is the index is weak.

Great introduction to the product.

Good, well written book. Great coverage of ASP, DHTML. I enjoyed this.
