710 pages of tutorial and practical snippets

[DOS VISUAL BASIC] This is rare find of mixing a bare beginners tutorial with expert reference functional snippets. The book covers all conceivable topics (often in a few paragraphs) so a beginner will not lack subject material but moves quickly to practical snippets that the experienced programmer will frequently use. It purposely lacks full listings of most topics so subjects may be covered completely in the allotted space. One complete "check book" writing program recaps all components of programming... screen, menus, math, reports, database, printer, etc. Of several hundred books I own, this is in the top 10 for concise style, completeness and technical balance. Do to it's systematic abbreviated conversational subject presentation, it is not intended (nor would it be advisable) to be a "quick reference". Adding Sams, "Do-it-yourself Visual Basic for MS-DOS" (80% command reference) or some other command quick reference publication to your library will give a complete VBDOS reference library.
