Vicar's Lark

Break the Rules. Break the Records. Just Don't Break the Airship.

Leslie "Vicar" Vickeridge was born to count money, not chase clouds. But when he walks out of his father's bank and into the workshop of his childhood friend Pete Childs, they create the Vicar's Lark-the fastest airship in 1853 America. Powered by revolutionary bladeless engines and fueled by pure ambition, the Lark shatters every speed record and proves that some dreams are worth the risk. But when Les wagers the ship itself on an impossible delivery run across the continent, he discovers that the sky holds more than opportunity: it holds Captain Ott, the most notorious pirate above the clouds, and a beautiful industrialist's daughter who needs rescuing. With Pete's family's future hanging in the balance and only hours to win or lose everything, Les must prove that he's more than just a rich boy playing with expensive toys-he's a pilot who can outfly death itself.
