Types and shadows are prophetic foretellings of future events. They are like a pre-cursor that can help to illuminate a concept. Many folks of the Old Testament foreshadow the life of Jesus Christ in amazing ways. The Bronze Serpent pointed to the Cross of Christ, Noah's ark, people like Noah, Melchizedek who was a king-priest, and Isaac the only begotten son of Abraham pointed to Christ. The events of the Old Testament like the Exodus, feasts e.t.c actually happened to foreshadow the things that were to happen they were not myths or stories. People like David, Moses, Noah, and many others are not mere ideas, they existed. This book explores the different types and shadows found in the book of Genesis. Types and shadows are interesting but should be consistent with the rest of the Bible and should never change the meaning of scripture.
