When livestock farmer Averil Gissing is abducted at gunpoint from a Suffolk farmers' market, Chief Inspector Sebastian Spencer fears the worst - a fear that appears justified when a video claiming to be from the Vegan Front of Britain shows the farmer tied to a chair, blindfolded, and flanked by masked, armed guards. Attention turns to a local vegan collective run by a former IRA operative. Will Spencer and his team find the farmer in time?
