Vegan Slaughter is MW Hagerup's third book and second novel. His first novel, In Good Faith, was a semi-autobiographical account of life inside a London Pentecostal church led by a charismatic pastor with more than one skeleton in his cupboard, and was published in 2015. He is also the author of the debate handbook The Really Practical Guide to Debating, published in December 2025. Mr Hagerup studied literature at the University of Trondheim in Norway and and 18th Century history at King's College London. He is a professional translator.
