An insight into confusion

An overarching hallmark of the COVID controversy has been the confusion based on authority bereft of facts and objective studies. Gøtzsche's book does nothing to clear up any of the confusion and merely adds to the fog of war. While there is much that the author states that is true and valid science, there is also much in the book that he parades on authority as fact, but which is actually abjectly false and merely his biased and subjective opinion. He is very critical of his detractors and accuses them of hypocrisy, distortions, placing politics before facts, using logical fallacies, cherry picking data, error by omission, broad mental reservations, and down right dishonesty, and he develops his arguments by employing hypocrisy, distortions, placing politics before facts, using logical fallacies, cherry picking data, error by omission, broad mental reservations, and down right dishonesty. If you are an informed scientist, epidemiologist or adept at forensics, you will be able to quickly separate the wheat from the chaff and find some usefulness in the book.
