Used By God

How many times have you told someone, "I want to be used by you," or asked God, "Would you use me as you want?" Not very many children ask their parents this. Spouses won't ask each other or even their friends this. Honestly nobody likes to be used. In fact we get upset, hurt and offended when we've been used by someone, yet we ask God to use us. This really seems a bit odd to me, if God is our Father?
