READ THIS BOOK.... IT WORKS.

I had to take a urine test for a company quite a few years ago. I am not gonna lie, I was partaking of some marijuana during this time and had been smoking it about three days a week steadily for a few years. Not a LOT (like some people I know), but enough to register on a urine test for sure. Well, I read this book (honestly not to pass a drug test but because I thought it looked interesting). When I found out I had to take a pre-employment drug test, I grabbed it off the shelf, dusted it off and re-read it. I followed the advice and passed the test. I should say... when I went in to take the test I went in with three other people. We had all been hired at the same time and all drove together to take the test. They all smoked pot. They had bought some stuff online or whatever, and were drinking these concoctions and they were nervous sweating the drug test, hoping that this expensive stuff that they bought would work. Not me. I had drank about 2 gallons of water that morning and peed SEVERAL times before the test and taken some (quite a bit) aspirin (as recommended in the book) at a specific time. Well..... everyone failed the drug test.... except for me. I passed and got the job. I no longer smoke pot, but I still keep that book. It is a good book, a good read. And the author is DEAD ON. I highly recommend it.

Read this first - if you _must_ pee in a cup

As a supervisor at one time or another in my working career, I have wondered about drug tests. People who swear to me they are "clean" (and I have believed them) have failed. People I'd swear to you weren't clean, passed. I myself had to take repeated urine tests because there was something "a little wrong" with the results. This book gives you the info about why non-users fail and users pass. For instance, the book statesthe usage of the over the counter eyedrop "Visine" will produce a false positive for marijuana. This seems amazing, but Dr Holtorf explains the reactions in clear language so you understand how that situation gives that particular result. This is _NOT_ a "how to pass the drug test" book, so if that's what you're looking for, you have to look someplace else. But if you are wondering how do the tests determine who's sing and who is not, this is the book for you. I recommend it highly.

Urine Testing Shocker

This book is absolutely necessary for everyone to read and own because in the future, it will be almost impossible for anyone to avoid urine testing. There is a major move in the United States to force urine testing upon the public. The mandatory program is called "stick and dip." Mandatory urine testing is being considered in public schools, in court rooms, on our public highways, etc. It's already mandatory in a wide range of settings -- to list a few, doctor's offices, hospitals, employment, insurance. This book is well written and explains in very clear detail what urine testing is all about. It is easy to understand and easy to explain to those who insist upon urine testing. This book is shocking because it reveals the real truth about urine testing and the irreparable damage and injury that is being done to society. This book is not written for drug abusers so they can avoid detection. It is written for the innocent consumer who isn't aware that what he or she ingests could lead them down a road of disaster with no remedy. The author courageously arms the innocent consumer with knowledge to protect themselves against the urine testing Gestapo. Don't leave home without this book.

Important, informative, timely.

In Ur-ine Trouble: The Truth About Drug Tests, Dr. Kent Holtorf identifies what common foods will cause a false positive drug test; explains how African-Americans and minorities can be at a disadvantage for certain types of drug tests; reveals what women can be tested for without their knowledge; and shows what household products can cover up drugs in human urine. Quite literally, what you had for breakfast could cost you your job in this present age of random drug testing in the workplace. Ur-ine Trouble: The Truth About Drug Tests is an important, informative, timely addition to personal, health center, and community library medical reference collections.

Excellent, Scarey, Helpful ? READ THIS BOOK!

This book discusses the reason you need to be informed if you work for a company that has mandatory drug testing or want to work for a company requiring pre-employment testing. By disclosing current medications prior to testing you give an employer insight into medical information they do not have the right to know about you. Failure to disclose can cause false positives. Your rights are being compromised. Don't learn it the hard way like I did. Dr. Holtorf should be commended for telling us what the rest of the medical profession wishes to sweep under the rug.
