This is the sequel to The Fellowship and like that one, there is no sex written in the book. It follows the story of Garrett and Danni and the others in the hospital. Like the first book, there are some funny parts in there. If you like Xena uber, this book, and The Fellowship is for you.
ER on a Large scale

At almost 300 pages this is a mammoth read! The novel starts off with a most dramatic chapter and never lets up! This is the second book in the author's 'That Healing Touch' series and even though I have not had the pleasure to have read 'The Fellowship' first it didn't hinder the reading of this novel. The novel is set in 2001 Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, amongst the drama of emergency medicine life and the ups and downs, the highs and lows of the daily life that is fraught with embarrassments, tragedy, as well as screwball comedy.
an okay sequel

I was fascinated with the first book in this series, The Fellowship, it was a love story without a love scene. I was a little let down by this book. Garrett and Danni spend a lot of time agonizing about being in love and hardly any time talking to each other about how they feel. Whenever the plot needed to be revved up, Darblyne tossed in a medical trauma. I was more interested in the lone survivor group and we don't get enough of a view of it. Having said that, this is a pleasant, easy read with lots of likeable characters and of course one detestable character. I don't think there's room for a really interesting third book.
