My name is Lardell Spratt but I'm known as Coach Dell. I'm a product of a fatherless single family home on Detroit's westside. My mom (a victim of sexual trauma/abuse as a child herself), was an active addict who was extremely violent and abusive toward me growing up. I, in turn, used that same violence toward others which culminated in my committing the crimes of homicide and Felony Firearm as a teenager in 1987. I was ultimately found guilty and served nearly two decades within the Michigan Dept. Of Corrections (M.D.O.C). I finally gained parole in 2006 and I've never returned I can proudly say that I'm happily married and we own our home as well. A little about Coach Dell: I am an Author, a Master Life Coach, a licensed Social Service Tech, a Certified Peer Support Specialist, a Trauma Informed Speaker, as well a Personal Credit Coach. My memoir: ("Up From Ashes: The Streets, Prison and Redemption"), serves as a passenger's seat view into the dysfunctional family structure as well as, childhood P.T.S.D, abuse, substance addiction, and "street life" pitfalls, all of which were necessary evils which guided me into my SELF Redemption.
