A ragged port almost torn down to nothing finally stands a chance when a motley little crew turns the tide. They don't get along, very little goes according to plan and the odds of lasting success is one long distance pot shot in a raging hurricane. Basically, just another day at your job.
When suffering from insomnia I did the logical thing and made it worse by booting up my computer to write a book. Did my best on editing but this being self-published and being possibly dyslexic didn't help. My apologies ahead of time. This story is vaguely based on past and current, real-world events that are retold in a different setting and all mashed together. No character is meant to be or to represent any specific person in real life. They are simply creations to carry the story and to be reflections of human nature. The mashed events are there to be familiar but are still their own tale.
Also, some actions taken by the characters, especially towards the end, are done for the sake of excitement and keeping the story entertaining and not things to be encouraged. Use your brain.
