My Favorite "High Heels" Yet!

I thoroughly enjoyed this outing from Gemma Halliday... much more than I did the two previous books. Not that they weren't good, but I liked this book better. My favorite part? Felix! I'm so glad that Ms. Halliday brought him back in this book. He is my favorite character, aside from Maddie and Marco. I did manage to guess who the bad guy was about half-way through the book, but that didn't bother me overmuch because I enjoyed the rest of the ride to get to the end. I don't think that I figured "who done it" because of any holes in the story, I think I've just seen too many movies that have had a similar storyline. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series, Alibi in High Heels.

High Heels = Hi Jinx

Once again one of the funniest books written by a fabulous writter who is "going places". This series is absolutely wonderful. Please keep them coming.....In this world we need a good laugh or two.....

A Mystery With Style

Undercover in High Heels is a very fun and humorous mystery. The plot is simple enough and the mystery was very obvious, but what really makes this book is the great characters. Maddie is spunky, tenacious, and great fun. She certainly isn't qualified for the roll she assumes, which causes her to stumble through the mysteries and mostly solves them by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, this adds to the overall humor of the book. All the secondary characters are also great. Jack Ramirez is a sexy and realistic character who cares about Maddie, even if he isn't sure how to deal with her antics. Dana, Maddie's best friend, is a sex addict trying to get help for her addiction which adds for some funny situations and moments. We also get to see more into the Tabloid reporter, Felix. He is the mysterious character who Maddie isn't quite sure how to react to. Maddie thinks she dislikes Felix, but it seems more like she doesn't wish to accept that she does actually like him. I am waiting to see what happens between Felix and Maddie, as there is some tension between the two that hopefully will be explored in later novels. Overall this was a very enjoyable read and I am really liking this series. Granted, there are some incidents within this book that seems too convenient and sometimes not realistic, but the lightheartedness this book is going for seems to make it work. So if you are looking for a simple romantic-mystery with a delicious guy, then I highly recommend Undercover in High Heels for a nice lazy weekend.

Kickin' mystery & romance....

with a lot of comedy. Maddie and Ramirez still have a sizzling romance, or do they? Maddie is so insecure she starts checking up on Ramirez and gets him in a lot of trouble. She and Dana get jobs on a TV studio to try and help Ramirez with hilarious results. There are two mystery storylines going on here. Maddie has a stalker, and at the same time she's investigating a murder on the set. These story lines cross and interact in interesting ways with each other. Maddie is still working on her children's shoe designs and is developing her own line. One of her shoe designs becomes an instant hit in an unusual way. I don't want to ruin the fun so you'll have to read it for yourself. If you like light comedic mysteries with a hot guy thrown in you'll love this third book in the series.
