Strong opening and then...

I wasn't too impressed with Chris Claremont's new run on the Uncanny X-Men. Most of what he wrote in the first 3 volumes of "The New Age:...X-Men" was a rehash of a rehash. Seeing the X-Men playing a baseball game for the opening of one of the books wasn't a new concept, but I buy into the baseball game because the game is always used when multiple teams get together, it's a continuity thing. I'd give 2 stars for any of the first three books; however, book 4 changes pace. Yeah..."End of Grey's" book is another Phoenix type story and it involves the Shiar hunting the Phoenix, but that's where the similarities of a rehash stop. The book is pretty good. The majority of the "End of Grey's" book is a three star book; however, the first two issues contained in the book are top notch, defiantly 5 stars. I wish the book could have had the intensity of the first two issues the whole way through. For any X-Men fans, I'd say read this book. For any Phoenix/Marvel Girl fans (not really me), I'd say you defiantly need to read this book.
