Your entire city has vanished. Not burned down. Not conquered. Swallowed by the ocean in a single day and night. Every building, every person, every secret gone beneath the waves like it never existed.

That's the story of Atlantis, according to Greek philosopher Plato in 360 BCE. He described an island empire more powerful than anything on Earth. Golden temples soared into the sky.
