Eric S. Brown .............Zombie Genius

So I got this book in the mail on Wednesday and I could not stop reading it. Most of the stories are very short indeed but don't let that fool you, even the shortest story in this collection is amazing. In a very few words Eric manages to convey huge visuals and massive emotions. In this book we run the gamut from zombie hunters to super heroes versus zombies to zombies on alien worlds in a strange techno-future. I devoured this book, it was fantastic! I wish I could sing its praises on the streets, but sadly with my singing voice I would most likely wind up in jail for public disturbance. So instead I will let you know here that you must buy this book and read it. This book will give you the creeps. You will find yourself identifying with quite a few of the people in these stories. And several times you will wish you were the people in these stories. But mostly your going to enjoy this book in every way. Eric paints with a very detailed brush bringing us a sharp detailed account of the zombie apocalypse, over and over again. You will cheer the good guys, laugh at the bad guys and overall enjoy this book very much. I will tell you that several of these stories moved me on a very personal level, and that I absolutely loved this book. If you have ever loved a zombie movie, or a zombie novel or a zombie comic book that you absolutely have to buy this book and read it, I promise you will not be disappointed. Dear Eric S. Brown, you my friend have a new fan for life sir and thank you very much for sharing these stories with us.

Oh Man!!

If you purchased this book you are in for a treat. I'm a HUGE fan of the horror genre. I was not disappointed at all in this book. Each story will scare the undead crap out of you!

Zombie fans will need a cold shower

Eric S. Brown chambers some forty-odd rounds of undead genius and unloads them rapid-fire into your mind. How can one guy write so many stories about zombies and still keep it fresh? Because he isn't afraid to explore insane new frontiers in what it means to be "the living dead". Some of the stories are quick bites and others give you more to chew on, but they each stir the imagination. As an avid zombie lover, I mean that. This zombie craze has incredible legs on it, with support in every medium - but for zombie fiction to endure, one mustn't hesitate to push the envelope. That's Eric S. Brown all the way.

Brownies

Possibly, Brownies it an apt comparison for this collection. They're small, rich in flavor, and you can't eat just one. The problem with Eric S. Brown's stories here is that they entice the taste, and leave you wanting more. Perhaps with encouragement we can have him expand a few into a novel. Each one is a unique, tasty, helping of zombie goodness.
