This book was written approximately 20 years ago, which means that the information in it may or may not be true. The stories of the various women who participate in the survey are evident of how changing our times are. The descriptions of what is normal and what is not was amusing. For example, a normal woman has 3 orgasms, extremely orgasmic women have 6-12 orgasms and then there's the utra orgasmic woman who has 20+ (in one encounter). The story of the ex-nun's first orgasm described as the closest she has ever come to God, was pretty funny. I loved the comparison the author gave "Easily orgasmic women resemble creative artists." I found the description of the mental blackboard, in the chapter on Focusing In interesting. It was a sign of the time the book was written where on page 146.. talking about episodes of female ejaculation they stated "At present, it is not known whether the fluid comes directly from the bladder or whether it emanates from the ducts and glands surrounding the bladder neck and urethra, or from both- or from elsewhere." Hummm.... elsewhere? A pretty funny part was on page 148 regarding PC muscles, "Do not be discouraged if it's difficult at first - we're sure Cleopatra practice." Really? They are sure.. pretty funny. I especially liked the chapter Pleasures of the Mind. Yep, at that moment of the big O every woman in the survey said at that moment they disconnected from who they where with. They where on their own ride. In the Chapter on Orgasms they asked "And where is her mind?" To which they all agreed... it was gone or blank. The chapter on Multiples was pretty interesting using terms like "compounded single orgasms" and "serial multiple orgasms". Serial multiple orgasms sounds wildly exciting ...hummm... is it because the word "serial" makes it sound so bad? Bottom line of the book... if you aren't having orgasms it's probably because you have ... okay are you ready.... A Bad Attitude!!!! Overall this book was a fun read.
