Volume 3 of the continuing adventures of Glen Wilson... Glen, with the able assistance of his eccentric team, runs for congress in Alaska. This rerelease reppresents a revised and updated version. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Glen Wilson. Where to start describing such a character ? He's controversial , misogynist , dysfunctional gentle ogre , bigger than life character you love to hate and hate to love. Emotionally and physically scarred Glen is so well sketched in the body of Mr. Coffman's work that I found myself regarding him as a real , flesh and blood person, a man feeding my need to redeem lost souls from self destruction .It's a mixture of Art imitates life and the other way around. One other time only I remember being so caught up in the fictional life of a powerful character , specifically when I read Philip Roth's Sabbath Theatre . As far as the overall writing technique, it's perfect. Every I is dotted and every T is crossed , making Mr. Coffman's challenge to the reader to find technical hiccups in his books a lost bet from the start. Not only good read, but a good tutorial for any aspiring writer.
From scam artist to U.S. President?? Yes!!

Another great read!! The main character Glen Wilson appreciates real talent, but usually finds it in the neglected corners of society. With his new friends he proves he can do almost anything, just for the sake of doing it, including winning a key political office in Alaska (though he didn't like the idea of having to move there), then the President of the United States. He immediately makes the power-brokers nervous because of his "cut the crap" "no nonsense" attitude and they plot to take him out. Imagine that; a scam artist bringing ethics to the Presidency! Ironic? This is classic Coffman. You will be surprised at how much you learn when you read this series. Coffman either has lived life large, or is well-studied. His books are great fun, revealing an irreverence we all have deep within us.
Excellent reading

Shows in layman terms, how politics on a national level really works...not as adventurous as first two books, but equally as enjoyable to read. Would recommend all three books...couldn't put them down.
