Great ending to a great series

This book really finish off the series that left fans with many questions. Everyone who was involved got together to finish off their last threat and continue to live their lives in peace. It was a great ending for the whole Roswell series. Anybody who loved the series like I did, would love this book. It tied up a lot of cliff hanger that the season final left when Roswell was cancelled due to the rating. It was great to see all the great character contributing to their last threat of a normal life.

PURSUIT + TURNABOUT = CLOSURE?

Well, here we are. I've been looking and looking for a CHEAP version of Turnabout for a year and a half now and I finally just bit down on my wallet and shelled out the 200 dollars for the second part to the two part book finale of one of my all-time favorite shows, Roswell. But was it worth it? Yes...and no. First off, Pursuit and Turnabout are GREAT books. Very well written. The characters leapt off the page and I could imagine them all acting as they do in the book. Langley, in particular, was a spitting image of his TV counterpart. So many things were revealed and wrapped up and, with each progressing page, I grew more and more excited and fulfilled. However...only two major complaints. One of the authors is gay, as most of you may know. And, although this doesn't bother me, it DOES bother me that he seems to turn these novels into soap boxes for gay rights/tolerance. This I didn't agree with. Roswell has always been about isolation but it's a sort of isolation that we all feel. Personally, I feel that Turnabout, at times, used this metaphor in relation to homosexuality ONLY and I don't think that was fair. There's a brief mention of the isolation that "big people" feel and that was positive, but it seemed that the finger of blame for all this isolation and oppression was pointed at "conserative Americans" or, even, "Fundamental Christians". AS a Christian, I, myself, felt very isolated by some of the passages in Turnabout, as I felt that the author was saying gays, Buddhists, aetheists, and every other "interest group" had a right to exist as they do, but those "darn Christians" don't. In a world where everying is tolerated EXCEPT Christianity, it's very easy for US to feel as unwanted aliens, persecuted by the fearful populace at large - no matter how "free thinking" they think they are. But I digress. I said I had one other complaint and this one isn't as controversial, but deals with one of the main concepts of the show. The conflict on Antar...It is never resolved! I realize that Max doesn't want to be a king, but we're talking about five planets spinning in the Antar solar system that are in a state of tyranny - MILLIONS of beings are DYING - and their last hope is a self-centered teenager who simply "doesn't want to help"? I found this very cold and, for all of Max and Liz wanting to tour the world and help people, you'd think they would want to help the very race that created the Royal Four hybrids to begin with. So, yes, I was very disappointed to see this MAJOR storyline was never properly resolved. I'd like to think that sometime in the future, we'll all know what happened to Kivar, but...sadly, by the very fact that the publishers ignorantly discontinued Turnabout and destroyed all the remaining copies, I don't think this will ever happen. Which is a shame. All in all, Pursuit and Turnabout were a fast, exciting, heartfelt, and 99% satisfying end to a very underrated and much-loved show and I'm glad that,

!!!!!!!!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

Hi. Any Fan of ROSWELL will love this book. There is 4 books set after Season 3. A New Beginning, Nightscape, Pursuit and Turnabout. The 1st two books are by a different author but are equally as good. The finale 2 books are what should be the ROSWELL MOVIE. They tie up all the loose ends and have everything you could ever hope for in them. They are a mixture of the action, comedy, drama. Basically like the writing of Season 1 (The white room) standard. I really can't express how happy I was to read these books, they answer all the questions that were left. E.g. Their Parents back in Roswell The Dupes FBI Growing Powers Jessie Langley River Dog Flashes (when they were on the desert w/ the alien symbols) The Orbs (Explains more about when they went off on season 1 final and what they really mean/do). So over all I am so happy with this book and recommend it to anyone!!!. So thank you the Cast and Crew of ROSWELL and a special thank-you to Andy Mangles and Michael A Martin for continuing the story :-)

nice sequel

this book picks up where pursuit left off with liz and max's parents being kipnapped by the special unit and our 6 fugitives deciding to stop running and take the fight to the goverment for better or worse. along the way to this showdown, deputy valenti, amy deluca, agent duff, even brody davis gets involved in trying to stop the special unit once and for all. it does all come to a head and the writer closes a lot of issues the show did not get a chance to because it was cancelled prematurely. while this book did not have the excitement of the first book, it is a good one for all roswell fans and i just hope that there will be more roswell books from diffrent authors with diffrent ideals. the writers left too much in the air for just a couple of books to be printed. a must read for roswell fans.
