Not knowing what the title meant beforehand, I was pleased to find the book thoroughly enjoying. I have been to Israel and I could certainly understand how the wife fell in love with Israel, as I also did. Before finishing the book, I thought the husband would be the one to want to stay in Israel so there was a bit of surprise there.
Great book especially if you've been there and done that.

I live in Tucson, Az and for a year when I was much younger (19), I lived in Israel. I also think this is a good look at the idea of Aliyah or moving to Israel to live. T'shuvah gives a good look at the life living in Israel for an American, whether religious or not, and of course, the trials and tribulations of that move. The intertwining of the family drama, and coming from basically a non-religious backround to an orthodox Jewish marriage, and then too Israeli style orthodox was well done. I enjoyed this book.
