How do you start a conversation, I ask? In this day and age asking for an opinion directly can be a risky venture. So, I decided to start a conversation from a new approach. When I found a subject, I wanted to talk about I wrote an Aphorism. An Aphorism is an observation that contains a general truth. Example, people who live on the island of opinion rarely visit the land of facts. I would then read this Aphorism to a friend, family member etc. Then ask their opinion starting the conversation. It worked so well that I wrote 101 Aphorisms. This is a book designed to start conversations. If I might suggest you too could even send a book to someone family or friend and have them read and ask their opinion on the particular Aphorism that covered your desired conversation. I did not hold back, race, religion, politics, social issues and so much more. Use an Aphorism to start your conversation. Without words, without communication we become silent, and, in our silence, we fade away without so much as a word.
